This Anime Adventures beginner guide covers your first hours in Gomu's Roblox tower defense, live with about 58,100 players on October 25, 2026. The numbers come from the community wiki, which is partly outdated, and we have not tested them in game. The wiki logs nothing after Update 20.4.1 (around April 2025), so rates, costs and stats may have changed. Unsure it is playable? Read is Anime Adventures back.
Anime Adventures beginner guide: what to do first
You place summoned heroes along the enemy path and spend Yen, the in-match currency, to place and upgrade them. Yen exists only inside a match; gems, gold, unit XP food and items are what you take out. A sensible first session:
- Redeem the Anime Adventures codes at the lobby Codes area. Sources say the active ones need level 20.
- Play Story acts for gems and XP food.
- Stand in the Time Machine AFK area between runs.
- Check the Travelling Merchant, then spend gems on summons.
Gems, summons and the Travelling Merchant
| Currency | Use |
|---|---|
| Gems | Summons, merchant items, Dungeon Keys |
| Gold | Summon Tickets, relic crafting, XP food |
| Star Remnants | Reroll unit traits |
| Reroll Tokens | Reroll traits, 1 per roll; base currency of trades |
A summon costs 50 gems (40 with VIP) or a Summon Ticket. According to the community wiki the odds are Rare 81.9%, Epic 16%, Legendary 2% and Mythic 0.25% (0.5% on the Special and Event banners), with Secret about 1 in 400,000 and 1% of summons shiny.
The Travelling Merchant is open 60 minutes, closed 30, and restocks up to three items. Star fruits cost 50 to 300 gems, a Star Remnant 400 gems, a Luck Potion 200 gems, a Summon Ticket 500 gold and evolution items about 2,000 to 8,000 gems.
The Time Machine pays 3 gems every 150 seconds, up to 1,728 a day (6 per tick with VIP or Roblox Premium). It was disabled from Update 19, and the wiki was edited on October 23, 2026 to say it is back, so check it still pays.
Units to place early and how to upgrade them
Cheap buffers help you scale before heavy hitters arrive. Per the wiki, Commander is a Legendary buffer that costs 775 Yen to place and adds 25% to 100% physical damage. Wenda costs 800 Yen and buffs magic damage by 30% to 100%, though its rarity is unverified. Income units such as Bulby and C.E.O. exist, but we have no verified numbers for them.
Out of match, units gain XP from the food each Story world drops, and the Adept trait adds 50% unit XP. Late-game units are mostly evolved forms, made with an evolution item plus unit-specific requirements. We publish no per-unit upgrade costs because the wiki's figures carry display errors. The Anime Adventures tier list and Anime Adventures best units show what the published lists favor.
Modes to run in your first hours
| Mode | What it gives | Unlock or entry |
|---|---|---|
| Story | About 22 worlds of 6 acts, bosses, world XP food | Unlock levels not in our source |
| Challenges | Harder Story acts, rotating every 30 minutes; gems, gold, Star Remnants | Clear the act first |
| Daily Challenge | 10 to 50 Star Remnants, Stat Cubes | Not stated |
| Anime Adventures infinite mode | Endless waves, Hard only; 90, 180 and 330 gems at waves 10, 25, 50 daily | Monthly leaderboard unit |
| Anime Adventures raids | Own currency and shop per raid | From Neo-Tokyo, no ticket since Update 10.7.5 |
| Anime Adventures dungeon | Random runs, chance at a Secret unit (Update 20, March 9, 2025) | Dungeon Key: buy from the Gambler, one free daily |
Story and the Daily Challenge are the low-risk way to collect gems and Star Remnants. Saving raids and dungeons until your team clears Hard acts is our judgement, not a wiki rule. Before you spend gems, read the Anime Adventures summon rates; units you pull later grow through Anime Adventures evolution and Anime Adventures relics.
Traits and rerolling without wasting Star Remnants
A new unit has a 1% chance to roll a trait, and the Anime Adventures traits list has 12. A reroll costs 1 Star Remnant for a Rare, Epic or Legendary unit, 5 for a Mythic or Secret one, or one Reroll Token, which is also sold for Robux.
Do not reroll a unit you may swap out soon. The wiki says Legendary-to-Mythic evolution carries the trait over, so rolling before you evolve costs 1 instead of 5. And read the effect first: Unique hits about 4x damage but limits you to one placement of that unit. Try the Anime Adventures trait reroll simulator before spending anything real.
