Anime Adventures dungeon guide: how a run works, where to get Dungeon Keys, the chest rewards and the cursed items inside.

5 min readLast checked Sources

The Anime Adventures dungeon is a random multi-room run added to the Roblox tower defense game in Update 20 on March 9, 2025. You spend a Dungeon Key, pick rooms and collect chests. This comes from the community wiki, last logged at Update 20.4.1; we have not tested it, and we could not confirm what changed after April 2025. It is the Gomu game, not the unrelated clone Re://Adventures.

How an Anime Adventures Dungeon run works

Update 20 says every run is randomly generated. You spend a key, then choose between rooms that show their reward. Pro Game Guides describes a maze 20 depths deep, where you win each depth to unlock the next. Quitting early forfeits the rewards you collected and the key.

The community wiki lists the symbols on a room tile:

  • Hoard: gives dungeon money, spent at shops.
  • Shop: opens a shop where Hoard buys blessings.
  • Curse: adds a curse to your dungeon inventory.
  • Chest and Rare Chest: award a chest to open later.
  • Relic: a relic you may take or refuse.

Anime Adventures raids and Anime Adventures infinite mode are separate modes. New players should read the Anime Adventures beginner guide first.

Anime Adventures Dungeon keys and where to get them

You cannot enter without a key. The Update Log gives two sources: the Gambler NPC in the lobby, who sells keys from his shop, and one free key from the daily login rewards. TheGamer places the Gambler beside the Summon area covered in Anime Adventures summon rates. One code also once gave a Dungeon Key. Fandom lists it as active, but PCGamesN (June 1, 2026) calls it expired, so check the Anime Adventures codes page.

Sources disagree on the price. Pro Game Guides says three keys cost 10 Sacred Treasures in total, while TheGamer says each key costs ten and that you can buy three at a time. We give no price as fact. An older wiki page also lists daily quests as a key source, but the Update Log and both outlets name login rewards.

Dungeon rewards: chests and the secret unit chance

Chests can be opened at checkpoints or saved until the end. The Update Log says waiting gives a chance at a secret unit, and the wiki advises against opening Rare Chests early for that reason. Finishing the whole dungeon has a chance at a limited secret unit. Wiki chest contents:

ChestCan contain
Treasure ChestStat Rerolls, 150 gems, 2 Star Remnants
Rare ChestStat Rerolls, 450 gems, 5 Star Remnants, Curse Tokens, a chance at a secret unit

Star Remnants reroll a unit's trait, so see the Anime Adventures traits list. We have no secret unit odds, and the figures are old. Browse Anime Adventures units for secret units.

Shops and cursed items

Hoard from rooms buys blessings at shops. Curses make enemies tougher and blessings help your team. Update 20 says shrines offer stronger cursed items that can boost rewards a lot. Examples from the wiki table:

ItemTypeEffect
Curse of HealthCurseEnemies get +80% HP
Curse of ShoppingCurse+10% shop prices
Genie LampBlessing+100% chest luck
Philosopher's StoneBlessingConverts all chests to Rare Chests

See the Anime Adventures best units page for published rankings.

Older named dungeons and the Story worlds

Before Update 20, dungeons were fixed event levels. The wiki lists four and marks two unit drops as no longer obtainable.

  • Cursed Parade: from Update 6 Part 2, up to seven players, 20 waves, ending in a boss.
  • Cursed Womb: needs a key dropped in Cursed Academy infinite. Its wave 15 boss drops a Cursed Finger.
  • The Fire: from Update 7.6 Part 2.
  • Anniversary Island: from the first anniversary update.

Two Story worlds share the name. Virtual Dungeon is world 17, where Kiroto's party is trapped in a VR game and you fight toward its creator Heathcliff. Dungeon Throne is world 19, six acts from the Undead Demon to the Doom Lord. They are Story levels, not key runs, though Pro Game Guides lists Dungeon Throne as a room map in a run. The Anime Adventures updates page lists each update, and is Anime Adventures back covers the current state of the game.

Anime Adventures Dungeon FAQ

How do I get a Dungeon Key in Anime Adventures?

Per the Update Log, buy keys from the Gambler in the lobby or collect one free key from the daily login rewards. A code also once gave a key. Prices differ between sources, so check the shop.

Should I open dungeon chests at a checkpoint or at the end?

Opening early banks the rewards. The Update Log says waiting until the end gives a chance at a secret unit, and the wiki advises against opening Rare Chests early. We have no odds, so it is a risk choice.

Can an Anime Adventures dungeon give a secret unit?

Yes, per the Update Log, from end-of-run chests or by finishing the full dungeon for a limited secret unit. The odds and the current build are unconfirmed.

Are the Cursed Parade and The Fire still playable?

We do not know. The wiki marks their unit drops as no longer obtainable and logs nothing after April 2025.
